The first Invaders of Texas Citizen Scientist training opportunity in Bexar County will be held Saturday, November 1, on the grounds of the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center botanists will instruct volunteers in digital photography and documentation of invasive plant species which cause severe economic and ecological damage. This first San Antonio Invaders workshop is co-sponsored by the San Antonio River Authority, the San Antonio chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas, The Headwaters Coalition (a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of San Antonio) and The Recyclers student organization of the University of the Incarnate Word.
