South San Antonio Independent School District is accepting applications for scholarships from South San Antonio ISD graduates who are presently enrolled at Texas A&M University at Kingsville. The scholarship covers tuition and books.

The scholarship program is part of an agreement between the School District and Texas A&M University at Kingsville. South San Antonio ISD leases the former Olivares Elementary School building to Texas A&M for $1 per year, and, in exchange, the university provides scholarships. Deadline to submit an application is March 13 for the present semester, and Aug. 1 is the deadline for the fall 2008 semester.
