Are you looking to lose a few pounds and need the motivation to get started? Well, let me introduce you to Zelda, a full figured German shepherd mix.
Zelda was surrendered by her owner, who became ill and couldn’t care for her anymore. We at BAHS couldn’t turn down the trusting, sweet face that looked at us so forlornly. We introduced her to the gang and decided it would be good for her to roam around the grounds so she could get all the exercise possible. She has adjusted to life at BAHS and volunteers have discovered a wonderfully sweet girl that adores attention and loves to be with people. She likes being brushed too. She gets along well with other dogs and appears to be fond of cats too. In fact, volunteers only have good things to report about Zelda. Her loving disposition simply makes her irresistible.
And, we are glad to report that after two weeks of being on a healthy diet and getting plenty of exercise, Zelda has successfully lost seven…yes SEVEN pounds!
So, if you have room in your home for our quickly shrinking Zelda, please come out and meet her. We promise you will fall in love with her! Our shelter is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or you can call any time at 830-980-2247. You can also visit our Web site to find a little more about Zelda or any of her friends living here or to make donations at www.bulverdeareahumanesociety.com.
