State Rep. Nathan Macias issued a statement recently encouraging all registered voters to study the 16 proposed constitutional amendments that will be on the ballot Nov. 6. Early voting began Monday.

A link to the Texas Legis-lative Council’s analysis of all 16 propositions is now posted on Macias’ House Web site: http://www.house.state.tx. us/ members/dist73/macias.htm.

The “Analyses of Proposed Constitutional Amendments” are published before each election that has proposed Texas constitutional amendments on the ballot. The publication includes the text of the joint resolution, ballot language, background and analysis of the proposal, and arguments for and against the amendment. A condensed version is also available on the site.

Macias announced his candidacy for re-election to the District 73 seat in the Texas House of Represen-tatives on Oct. 6 in New Braunfels.

The Bulverde Republican represents Bandera, Comal, Gillespie and Kendall counties.
