Kirby Animal Control

This cute puppy is just one of the animals available for adoption by calling the animal control office through City Hall at 661-3198.

Schertz Humane Society

Cruiser, we are told, is a Great Dane, Terrier mix. He and his sister were abandoned and taken in by our group. He is 5-to-6 months old now, is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm prevention. Cruiser has no real foster home, so a place for him to stay, even temporarily, would be a wonderful thing for him! Cruiser loves to splash around in the kiddie pool and chase-and-return squeaky toys and balls. He is one dog who loves life! He needs some work on the leash, but we are getting him there. A home where he can have some indoor time, but also some outdoor play time, with walks would be ideal! His adoption fee is $100. Call us at 577-7776 or online at: www.homesforpets.org.

Universal City Animal Shelter

Cash is a playful 3-month-old domestic short hair male tabby. He is affectionate, full of energy and plays well with other cats and kittens. Cash would love to have a family of his own. If you are interested in giving Cash a home, stop by 262 Kitty Hawk Road, call 658-0700, or can visit online at: www.universalcitytexas. com. Donations are always accepted.

Schertz Animal Services

Animal Defense League

O.K. So I am a beauty. My name is Wyoming and I just arrived at Animal Defense League. I know how to lie down and I love walking on a leash. As you probably guessed, I am a Great Dane, am 3 years old but weigh only 102 pounds, so I’m not a really big Great Dane. ADL rescued me from a government shelter in Waco where I was on death row. I am neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and sweet as can be. I can’t explain why but someone docked my tail which I think looks pretty stupid — but then again, I can’t really see it. I am available for adoption and sure hope I find a forever home. So come on out to ADL and say “hi” to me – one really handsome young man. I’m at 11300 Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio 78217, and online at: www.adltexas.org.
