The Boerne Community Center was the place to be on a cold Jan. 17 night as the Boerne Chamber of Commerce hosted its 80th anniversary Heart of Boerne gala. Award winners were: Methodist-Boerne Medical Center, New Business of the Year; Tootie Pie Co., Business of the Year; Steve Artale, Citizen of the Year; Hill Country Animal League Spay and Neuter Program, Organization of the Year; Weihnachts Fest Christmas Parade, Event of the Year; and River Road Park, Attraction of the Year.
