Kassi Micak a competitive cyclist based in San Antonio participates in the citrulline malate study conducted by the Air Force Research Laboratory at Brooks City-Base. Citrulline malate, shown to increase lactate thresholds in healthy humans, is being investigated, along with other nutritional supplements and training aids, by the Air Force laboratory to improve cognitive and physical performance of airmen on the battlefield.
