 Jason Burris Jason Burris, a 2008 graduate of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, has been named a National Merit Scholar. He is one of some 8,200 students nationwide to receive a scholarship offer from the National Merit Scholarship program, chosen from the group of more than 15,000 National Merit Finalists. At TMI, Burris was the recipient in his junior year of a Xerox Award for Innovation and Information Technology, sponsored by the University of Rochester; and of a Sewanee (University of the South) Club Award for Excellence. He was a member of the National Honor Society and of the cross-country team, for which he served as a manager in his senior year. Burris will attend Texas A&M University in the fall, where he will enroll in the University Honors Program and has been invited to participate in the Engineering Scholars Honors Program. He is the son of Jamie and Daniel Burris of Leon Springs.
