Fair Oaks Ranch invites everyone to secure a spot in the 20th anniversary parade by Friday. The parade, music, refreshment and exhibits are set May 17. See www.ci.fair-oaks-ranch.tx.us for details. To secure a parade spot, call (210) 698-0900.

Roy Maas’ Youth Alternatives offers Casino Night at Don Strange Ranch, an evening of fine dining, dancing, casino-style gaming and fun, on Friday from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The cost of $100 a person/ $150 a couple includes dinner, open bar and $2,000 in casino chips. Leon Springs Farmer’s Market is held every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p. m. at the Leon Springs Dance Hall, 24135 W. Interstate 10, in the parking lot (Boerne Stage Road exit, across from Rudy’s Barbecue). Vendors offer plants, herbs and a variety of edibles, from fresh produce to honey, nuts, breads, jams and jellies. Bicyclists can take part in the Fair Oaks Afternoon Ride, starting at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fair Oaks Ranch Center. Mileage varies. Call (210) 698-6625 for details.

Monday

Boerne Parks & Recreation is offering Hatha Yoga 101 at the Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Road on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. through June 6. This class is ideal for a beginning yoga student with little to no experience with yoga. All you need is a yoga mat and you’re set for the class. Yoga attire consists of comfortable clothes that you allow you to move easily and bare feet.  Don’t miss this perfect opportunity to relax and relieve stress after a hectic Monday. May 10

Boerne Panhellenic presents a Style Show and Brunch on May 10 at Ye Kendall Inn from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to raise money for its scholarship fund. May 12

The Kendall County Bar Association will hold a Law Day event at the Kendall County Courthouse from 5 to 7 p.m. May 12. Pro bono law services will be offered to those who qualify.

June 14

Boerne High School class of 1998 will hold a 10-year class reunion on June 14. Organizer Jeff Bedwell is trying to locate all class members. June 17

Boerne Village Band, the oldest German-American Band in the world, offers Abendkonzerts (evening concerts) in the summer months. The 2008 performance dates are: June 17, July 15 and July 29. Concerts are held at the Main Street Plaza gazebo at 7:30 p.m. Drinks, tapes and CDs are available for purchase. Bring lawn chairs or other seating. Donations are welcome.

Ongoing

Boerne Community Theatre is registering students for summer drama camps. There will be three sessions this summer: June 9 through 22 at the theater; July 7 through 20 at the Geneva School; and Aug. 4 through 17 at the theater. Each camp can accommodate 35 children; there will be a different production for each session. The cost for the two-week camps is $300 per child. CitiFinancial, a member of Citigroup, will be raising money for March of Dimes through May 30. You can help make the fundraiser be a success by donating an item, a gift certificate or services to use as a sweepstake or auction during the campaign.
