Chipotle Mexican Grill opens with a free food day in Northwest San Antonio. On Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the eatery at 1411 Bandera Rd., Suite 101 (Southeast corner of Loop 1604 and Bandera) will give their gourmet burritos, tacos, bowls and salads to customers for free in celebration of the store’s grand opening.

Friday’s grand opening will include T-shirt giveaways to the first 100 customers starting at 3 p.m. and a contest to win free burritos for a year.

The latest Chipotle will be one of the first in San Antonio to serve naturally-raised chicken in addition to the naturally-raised pork, rBGH-free sour cream and cheese and 25 percent organically grown black and pinto beans for which the restaurant is known.
