Special to the Northwest Weekly Ingram Park and Rolling Oaks Mall will opens their doors to the community for a children’s event on Halloween to provide a safe and secure trick or treating experience for San Antonio and surrounding area families. Festivities will kick off early on Oct. 31 with a Boo Bash for Simon Kidgits Club members. Spooky arts and crafts, goody bags and a frightful-costume contest will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. ($5 annual membership applies to non-members). Following the Boo Bash, the mall will host a 6 to 8 p.m. Mall-o-Ween party, in which children can scour the mall and its retailers for candy. Mall-o-Ween is free and open to the public. Parents and children are encouraged to arrive early. The event welcomed more than 3,000 children in 2007. The activities take place in the lower level center court at the mall, which is located at 6301 N.W. Loop 410. |
