Sunday San Antonio Audubon Society members will gather at 8 a.m. and meet leader Helen Rejzek in the parking lot of O. P. Schnabel Park off Bandera Road opposite Braun Road for a bird walk. Libraries that are open on Sunday will keep their regular operating hours. Sept. 7 The Grey Forest Farmers Market will be held 3-7 p.m. at 18249 Sherwood Trail, Grey Forest. The San Antonio Small Business Development Center will hold a small business start-up essentials seminar 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Small Business Resource Center, 1100 NW Loop 410, Suite 109. Topics to be covered include choosing a name and legal structure, responsibilities and requirements as they pertain to local and federal entities, and business start-up expenses. The cost is $20. Sept. 10 The San Antonio Small Business Development Center is sponsoring “The Basics of Selling on Ebay” from 4 to 8 p.m. at UTSA Downtown, 501 W. Durango, Room 2.316. The fee is $30. Attendees will learn how to open an eBay account, how to use the eBay platform to sell items, how to create titles, descriptions, and photographs to attract buyers, how to accept online payments with PayPal, how to set competitive pricing, and how to monitor and analyze sales. Sept.15 Friends of the Maverick Library is holding a used book sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Maury Maverick Jr. Library, 8700 Mystic Park. More than 100 cartons of books have been donated for the sale. Great Northwest Library, 9050 Wellwood, will celebrate Chuseok, a Korean Harvest Festival, from 2 to 4 p.m. The schedule includes the opening of an art exhibition by Korean artist Kristin Sue Kim; a performance by the Na Myong Ja Korean Folk Dancers; and a demonstration by the Korea-America Tae Kwon Do Academy. A reception for Ms. Kim, the dance performance and Tae Kwon Do demonstration will take place in the Library Community Meeting Room. Ms. Kim’s artwork will be hung through out the library, from Sept. 15 through Oct. 26. This event is free and open to the public. Sept. 21 Guide Dogs of Texas sponsors its annual benefit golf tournament at 1 p.m. at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort. The fee is $150. Call 366-4081 for details. Sept. 22 Students for the Second Amendment and the Collegiate Firearms Instructor Program will sponsor the Alamo City Shooting & Outdoor Sportsfest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the National Shooting Complex at 5931 Roft Road in Northwest San Antonio. Attendees are asked to enter the complex from Gass Road. The event is open to the public. Activities at the Alamo City Shooting & Outdoor Sportsfest include pistol shooting, rifle shooting, shotgun shooting, muzzle loading pistol & rifle shooting, field archery, cowboy action shooting, bass casting & fishing, hunters skills trail, wildlife education displays, climbing wall, historic firearm demonstrations, map and compass skills and living history re-enactors. Sept. 24 UTSA Men’s and Women’s basketball programs are holding their annual Scholarship Golf Tournament at 1 p.m. at the Fair Oaks Ranch Country Club. Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $150 and all proceeds will go to scholarships for student athletes. El Chaparral Restaurant is the sponsor for the event and will provide the awards dinner.
