Special to the North San Antonio Times A home built by local builder Shelly Home Co. has been selected as a 2008 Southern Living magazine showcase home, known as Jenny’s Light House. Located at 429 College Boulevard, this home will be open for tours today through Sunday with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Jenny’s Light. Jenny’s Light is a non-profit foundation that raises community awareness and support for postpartum disorders. Southern Living is a lifestyle and entertainment magazine that celebrates Southern life and the eighth largest monthly consumer magazine in the U.S., reaching nearly 16 million readers each month, with a circulation of about 2.8 million. Shelly Home is one of 100 builders chosen for the 15th annual builder program. Each year, Southern Living selects members based on their reputation among local businesses and consumers; strength of presence in their respective markets; superior quality and attention to detail; innovative style, and other criteria. Builders have access to the entire Southern Living House Plans collection, which includes more than 800 plans created by architects and designers. “Keith’s sincerity as a person and vested interest in providing a customer a great home and experience are what really make him stand apart,” said Brent Warren, manager of the Southern Living Builder Program. “This home showcases Shelly Home Co.’s abilities … livable architecture, creative interior design spaces, outstanding products, and quality craftsmanship.
