Wednesday, Feb. 7: 11:15 a.m., 7286 Dietz Elkhorn – A woman reported that she had been bitten by a dog when she was delivering flowers earlier in the day. Although the bite was superficial, police left a message for the dog’s owner so the woman could get the canine’s shot record for insurance purposes. 1:40 p.m., 7300 Rolling Acres – An officer patrolling the area discovered a stone mailbox had been struck and damaged, leaving a large amount of debris on the roadway. Also damaged were a stone fencepost and a rock wall. 4:51 p.m., 7400 Keeneland – A woman told police that a car with teenagers was zig-zagging behind her as she driving in the neighborhood and when she motioned for the driver to go around her, he just laughed at her. She was told officers would be on the lookout for suspicious driving in that area. Thursday, Feb. 8: 7:40 a.m., 29300 No Le Hace – An officer and an American Medical Response team assisted a woman who was having stomach pains before she was transported to a hospital. 11:33 a.m., 28700 Seattle Slew – A couple of dogs wandering around loose and making nuisances of themselves were out of sight when the city’s animal control officer checked the area. 1:58 p.m., 8600 Bold Forbes – A resident complained that the man who had been taking care of his lawn had left his trailer on the property. A computer check showed that the trailer wasn’t stolen, so the resident was advised to call a towing company to remove it from his premises. 4:32 p.m., 7700 Fair Oaks Parkway – A driver not paying enough attention to the road, was the apparent cause of a red brick mailbox being destroyed and the right front portion of the vehicle being damaged. 4:41 p.m., 8200 Triple Crown – An officer responded to a possible fire after a resident reported that smoke was coming from a kitchen vent, but he didn’t see or smell smoke when he climbed up into the attic. When a Leon Springs Volunteer Fire Department crew arrived, the investigation was turned over to the firefighters.
