Steve “Melvin Dale” Kinion, age 84, passed away on Feb. 10 in Boerne. Born in Crowley, Colo., on Nov. 2, 1922, he was the son of Oliver Burton and Olive Grace Lansfield Kinion.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in both WWII and the Korean War. After living in Panhandle, Texas, for 30 years, he moved to Boerne three years ago to be near family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Charlotte Kinion; and three sisters.

He is survived by daughters, Michelle and Sherry; sons, Bruce Kinion and John LeMaster; and grandchildren, Crystal Forbes, Chris Forbes, Tammy Casack and Grant Taylor Kinion.
