Jovita Sanchez
Jovita Sanchez, 74, a longtime resident of Boerne, passed away Feb. 18. Born May 11, 1932, in Kennedy, Texas, to Cirilo and Isabel Sanchez, she moved to Boerne in the early 1940s. Jovita became a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was a member of Guadalupanas until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters Lupe Alamilla (Luis), Victoria Trejo (Candelario), and Bessie Cruz; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sister Maria Perez; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The recitation of the Rosary was held Feb. 22 at Vaughan’s Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 23 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Tony Cummins officiating. Burial followed in the Boerne Cemetery.
