Alamo Heights head football coach Don Byrd accepts a plaque from the San Antonio Spurs organization in recognition of the Mules state championship season.  Accompanying him at mid-court were Alamo Heights Principal Dr. Linda Foster, Athletic Director Gene Phillips, and the entire Mules football team. The Alamo Heights state championship football team was honored by the Spurs organization at “Alamo Heights High School Night” during halftime ceremonies at a sold-out game March 21. Adding to the festivities was the fact the Spurs trounced the Indiana Pacers, 90-72.
