Symphony performs with piano champion
Internationally-acclaimed pianist Lilya Zilberstein makes her San Antonio Symphony debut, performing a program filled with variations of pieces written by 20th century composers Ottorino Respighi, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Sir Edward Elgar. The double-feature titled “Orchestral Colors and Variations,” is at 8 p.m. April 6 and 7 at the Majestic Theatre, 224 E. Houston St. Individual concert tickets range from $10 to $60 and are available at the Symphony Box Office, by calling 554-1010, or by visiting www.sasymphony.org.

Turn up the heat at Cajun dance
Love music from the Bayou? Officials of the Cajun French Music Association, de Fa Tras Chapter of San Antonio have announced that Brett Denais and T-Rouge Cajun Band of Milton, Louisiana will be playing from 7:30 until 11:30 p.m. April 14 Hermann Son’s Hall, 525 South St. Mary’s Street in San Antonio, Texas.  Donations for the dance are $8 per person and the public is invited. San Antonio Symphony gets ‘muy caliente’
The global impact of Latin music comes to life in this concert series featuring Tito Puente, Jr., son of internationally renowned timbales artist and “King of Latin Dance” Tito Puente. The talents of both Puente, Jr. and San Antonio’s world-class Symphony in what’s being billed as a “modern twist” on Latin jazz and dance. Performances are at 8 p.m. April 20 and 21, and at 2 p.m. April 22 at the Majestic Theatre, 224 E. High school choir heading to Disney World
The Alamo Heights High School Choirs have been invited to perform at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., April 25-30. The choir will present a short concert in the rotunda of the American Pavilion located in Epcot. The singers will also participate in a Disney Sings workshop which will be lead by one of Disney’s professional entertainers.

Women take center stage with San Antonio Symphony
Ranked among the world’s foremost musicians, Violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg is one of two internationally-acclaimed female artists who will take the stage to perform with the San Antonio Symphony May 4 and 5 at the Majestic Theatre, 224 E. Houston St.
