TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas has announced that Jaqui Read and Dirk P.D. Mosis III of Boerne and John R. Brougher III of Fair Oaks Ranch have been appointed to the school’s board of trustees. John R. Brougher III Brougher is a CPA in private practice who has been involved in accounting for commercial and residential construction. He graduated in 1975 from the University of Texas in Austin with a bachelor’s in business administration. He is a former president of the board of Hill Country Montessori School, a past president of the Boerne EMS Association and past treasurer of the Boerne Volunteer Fire Department. Brougher has served on TMI’s Finance and Facilities Committee for several years. He and his wife Patricia K. Brougher, M.D. are the parents of Shannon, a sophomore at TMI, and Kate, who graduated in 2004. Dirk P.D. Mosis III Mosis is a principal in Corsair Interests, a commercial real-estate consulting firm in Boerne. He previously was vice president of real estate investments for USAA Real Estate Co., and also has worked for Trammell Crow Corporate Services. He is a 1973 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and also holds a master’s degree in systems management from the University of Southern California. Mosis has been a member of the nominating committee for the Naval Academy Alumni Association board of trustees and has served as president of TMI’s Cadet Parent Association, chairman of special gifts for the school’s Chapel Campaign and chairman of its Commandant of Cadets Search Committee. He and his wife Virginia are parents of TMI senior Dirk M. Mosis and Annie, 4. Jaqui Read Read, a teacher for nine years, is a 1992 graduate of Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in consumer science and business administration. She is married to the Rev. David G. Read, rector of St. Helena’s Episcopal Church, and is an active member of the church, where she has served in many roles, including a house-building mission trip to Mexico. The Reads have two children: Aidan, 9, and Amy, a seventh-grade student at TMI. Also appointed as new TMI trustees were Bruce Davis, a project manager for the San Antonio office of Parsons Engineering; and the Rev. John Hardie, rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Corpus Christi. Members of the TMI Board of Trustees serve on committees, act as ambassadors to elementary schools and Episcopal parishes and participate in other school activities. Nearly one-third of TMI students come from Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch and other Hill Country communities.
