Validation tag orders for livestock exhibitors due to extension office All 4-H and FFA members planning to exhibit a goat project or lamb project at the State Fair of Texas must order validation tags for their project by Monday, said Kendall County Extension Agent Stephen Zoeller. Cost of the tags is $7 each and must be paid upon ordering. Deadline for ordering tags is Monday. Validation tags for major stock shows for goat or lamb projects will be ordered in August. Watch for this in your newsletter or on the Kendall County Web site at http://kendall-tx.tamu.edu. Steer exhibitors shouldn’t stall either. All 4-H and FFA members who plan to show a steer project in 2008 must order their validation tags by April 19. Exhibitors will not be able to show a steer in any stock show for 2008 without this tag. A validation date has tentatively been set in June. Contact a county agent or FFA teacher for exact information. The tags are $7 each and must be paid for when ordering. For more information, call the Texas Cooperative Extension Office at (830) 249-9343.
