TMI cadet earns marksmanship award |

 Matthew Ryan Matthew Ryan, a sophomore at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, won first place as individual high shooter in a JROTC marksmanship contest. Sponsored by Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery, Ala., the event was a “postal match,” in which competitors fire on their home ranges using targets marked for identification to be mailed to the host institution for scoring. Ryan, a staff sergeant in TMI’s Corps of Cadets, is captain of the Rifle Team and executive officer of the Orien-teering Team. The son of Richard and Terry Ryan, he also is a member of the National Honor Society and holds a second-degree black belt in tae-kwon-do.
