Bronson was 2-0 between April 16 and 21, earning a win over No. 8 Texas Lutheran and pitching a three-hit shutout in the SCAC Divisional Tournament against Rhodes in Millington, Tenn. He came on with no outs in the ninth inning April 17, inheriting runners on first and second. Bronson proceeded to strike out the side to set up Trinity’s victory in the bottom of the ninth. Against Rhodes, Bronson tossed a three-hit shutout in game two of the divisional playoff, forcing a third and final game to decide that series. He struck out eight batters in the game — the only shutout of the Divisional series — walking just one. Bronson finished the season with a 5-3 record and a team-leading 2.68 ERA. He also led the team with 67 strikeouts in 57 innings pitched, with opponents hitting just .247 against him — the lowest on the team. In 11 appearances, which included seven starts, he had three complete games and two shutouts, allowing just 17 earned runs and 17 total walks. The Tigers lost 2-1 in the series with Rhodes and did not qualify for the SCAC Championship tournament.
