(Photos by Don Bommer) Contributing Writer Newly elected Bulverde City Council members Jim Binkley and Michael Sorbera were sworn in by Justice of the Peace Susan Dvorak during the May 22 council meeting. Mayor Sarah Stevick presented outgoing Councilwomen Cindy Cross and Robin Urbanovsky with certificates of appreciation for their dedicated service to the community.  Justice of the Peace Susan Dvorak administers the oath of office as former Bulverde City Councilman Michael Sorbera begins a new term. Urbanovsky said her time on the council was fulfilling and urged anyone with an interest to become involved in local politics. Cross said she appreciated the support of the community during her time in office and added, “I will be in the audience during the coming year to voice my opinions, and I do have opinions.” In other business the council approved an update to the “Table of Uses” in the zoning ordinance. The ordinance provides more detailed zoning within the city.
