Four area students are the latest recipients of benefits extended by the annual Scholarships for Military Children program: Cibolo residents Christopher Chini and Zachary Raygoza, and Universal City residents Adam Cribb and Ashley Hibbard.

Each teen received a $1,500 scholarship. Cribb, Hibbard and Raygoza received their awards at Randolph Air Force Base while Chini claimed his award at Hill Air Force Base.

The Fisher House Foundation administers the Scholarships for Military Children program, which was initiated in 2000 to award scholarships to qualified children of U.S. Armed Forces personnel, including active duty, retirees, guard/reserves and deceased military members. Applications are turned in through commissaries.
