Q: Can I search for stories online?
A: Yes - there is a search button at the upper right of each page, as well as a search button on the main menu link on the left of each page. Our search index is automatic, so a as soon as it is published online it will be available when you search.
Q: When are the newspapers available online?
A: The Commercial Recorder is updated daily, no later than 10:00 am. The Northside Recorder, The Herald, The Hill Country View and the North San Antonio Times are updated weekly, starting on Wednesday and then Thursday. Que Pasa is a bi-monthly publication, therefore updated every other month.
Q: Are your stories archived online for searching?
A: Yes, they are. You can use our search function to find archived articles. The Daily Commercial Recorder keeps an archive of Bexar County Courthouse records dating back to 1994 (pay).
Q: I read a story in one of your newspapers, but I can't find it online. Why not?
A: We do not publish all stories from all of our newspapers, due to space limitations on the Web. Also, we do not have online rights for the syndicated (such as Zig Ziglar) and wire stories that appear in our newspapers. We do try to provide the most relevant stories from our newspapers. There are also technical problems getting to some of the copy that we are working on. We have more copy and stories today than what we had a year ago. Our online site will in a sense always be under construction, as we strive to bring you more news and advertising each day.
Q: How do I send a press release to Prime Time?
A: You may fax press releases to 210-828-3787. You may also send press releases to the below editors. Please keep in mind that most publications are weekly, therefore next-day or same-day coverage may not be possible. To ensure timely reporting of your press release, send the information as soon as it is possible.
