The ninth annual convention of the Texas Deer Association, today through Saturday at the Westin La Cantera Resort, 16641 La Cantera Parkway, will feature auctions, educational presentations, contests and a style show. A Farmers Market will be held 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Leon Springs Dance Hall, 24135 W. Interstate 10, in the parking lot on the westbound access road at Boerne Stage Road. The Back to School Bash, which will give away school supplies to families who cannot afford the cost, will be held at Leon Springs Baptist Church from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A barbecue and live music will be featured as well as a water slide and games for the children.
