78254 Deadly conduct with firearm July 13, 2 p.m., 8400 block of Braun Path: A door to door salesman selling home security products was allegedly forced off the property of a potential customer by gunpoint. The salesman was given a warning to stay away from the house and left the neighborhood of his own will. 78250 Purse-snatching Aug. 3, 10 p.m., 11600 Bandera Road: A woman was walking into a store when a man ran up to her and took her purse. The woman claims to have screamed “like a mad woman” and when two witnesses saw what was taking place, they were able to catch the man and retrieve the woman’s purse. The man was able to get away, and fled in his vehicle. The purse was returned to the woman. The suspect is still at large. Criminal mischief Aug. 2, 12 a.m., 8800 block of Charter Point: A woman who was alarmed by a loud bang in her garage called police. When the officer arrived, he and the woman went to the garage to find that the metal garage door had been pushed in, causing it to break. The estimated cost of damage is $800. 78251 Theft Aug. 11, 12 a.m., 9900 block of Cinnamon: A woman test driving a new vehicle returned to her parked car to find that some of her personal items were stolen, including: a designer purse and matching wallet, $147 in cash, credit cards, check book, calculator, designer sunglasses, laptop bag and flash drive. There were no signs of forced entry and no reported suspects. 78253 Theft Aug. 5, 5 p.m., 11200 block of Potranco Road: A man at a convenience store attempted to steal a pair of sunglasses by removing the tags and placing them on his head as if he owned them. The clerk was witness to the entire event and followed the man outside of the store where he had the man return the glasses and called police. The man received a citation and was released.
