Barbecue leads to violence

Sept. 3, 4 p.m., 9700 block of Wilderness Sun
A woman called police after her partner slapped her across the face, causing her glasses to injure her. She claimed that she and her boyfriend constantly argue and that the argument began over the decision to have a barbecue. While police were taking the woman’s statement the boyfriend called and she gave the phone to the officer. The man was combative and belligerent during the conversation and told the officer to get off his property. The woman stated that the man is taking medication for depression and bi-polar disorder.

Used car stalking

Sept. 3, 8 p.m., 6300 block of Village Club
A woman selling a vehicle ended up being the target of a stalking. A man repeatedly contacted the woman at the telephone number she gave for inquiries on the vehicle being sold but never discussed the car for sale. The woman has made numerous reports to police about the man stalking her and, on the date above, he had returned again. The woman also stated that on one occasion, the man knocked on her door at 2 a.m. awakening her.

Burglary

Sept. 2, 4 a.m., 8100 block of Potranco Road
Two suspects were videotaped during a convenience store burglary. The two broke a glass door and cabinet door, causing $1,550 in damages. The thieves used a crowbar to break the window and open the cabinet and stole $100 in cash and 12 cartons of cigarettes equaling $558. A copy of the video from the surveillance camera is being made for the police.
