THURSDAY, SEPT. 27 “Rumors,” a Neil Simon play, continues this weekend at the Boerne Community Theatre, 907 E. Blanco. The comedy focuses on party guests struggling to understand their hosts' whereabouts and why they are absent. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. FRIDAY, SEPT. 28 “Sign On Harvest Moon,” a book- and artwork-signing event at 6:30 p.m. at the Cibolo Nature Center, is presented by the Native Plant Society of Texas-Boerne chapter. Tickets are $10. The authors’ and artists’ works are based on Texas plants and nature. Their work will be available for sale and signing. The event also features a buffet and silent auction. For more information, call (830) 249-8240. SATURDAY, SEPT. 29 A farmers’ market is held 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday at the Leon Springs Dance Hall, 24135 W. Interstate 10, in the parking lot at the westbound access road at Boerne Stage Road. Vendors offer a variety of wares from fresh produce to homemade foodstuffs, plants and more. Pick up descriptions and directions at the Cibolo Nature Center between Sept. 25 and 29. The sites will demonstrate that residents can landscape with plants that are attractive and well-adapted to our demanding soil and climate. The homeowner or a local expert will be available at each yard to answer your questions. Visit the yards of your choice. A farmer’s market is held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Satuday at the River Rock Café’ courtyard, 30260 Saratoga, offe of Keeneland and Ralph Fair Road in Fair Oaks Ranch. The Boerne Community Theatre Teen Troupe will hold auditions for area teens from 4 to 6 p.m. at 907 E. Blanco for Shakespeare Love Scenes. “A Taste of Comfort,” the popular gathering in the town park, will feature a silent auction, food samples from Comfort eateries, music, dancing, raffles and more. The event benefits the Comfort Public Library. Cibolo Songs and Stories, at the Cibolo Nature Center in Boerne, features the Lost Mule Band 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The five homegrown musicians who have performed together for over 25 years.
