When you think of Honey, what comes to mind – warm and sweet as sugar? Well, that is our Honey. A yellow Labrador mix, Honey is a wonderful, loving dog.

Honey came to the Bulverde Area Humane Society as an “owner-surrender” and we gladly took her in. She has proven herself to be a great companion dog. She is housebroken, (but may need a refresher coarse after her temporary stay with us), she also knows her basic commands, such as sit, stay and lay down. She will do anything for a treat and loves to be loved on.

When you take her for a walk, she is in absolute heaven – rolling around in the grass, wiggling on her back and looking like life couldn’t get any better. Her coat is short and the color of rich honey. When you talk to her, she looks up with her mouth open and you would swear she is smiling at you!

Honey is a quiet dog. She doesn’t bark much, but she was an inside dog and would like to stay that way. She gets along well with dogs and cats and kids – so she would be perfect for just about any family.

Come out and meet her, we think you will fall in love. You can come out to BAHS and visit Honey on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. or you can call (830) 980-2247 or e-mail us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
