FRIDAY, OCT. 5

Fair Oaks Craft Fair will be held 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the ballroom at Fair Oaks Ranch Country Club, 7900 Fair Oaks Parkway, Fair Oaks Ranch. Admission is free. SATURDAY, OCT. 6

A farmers’ market is held 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday at the Leon Springs Dance Hall, 24135 W. Interstate 10, in the parking lot at the westbound access road at Boerne Stage Road. A farmer’s market is held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the River Rock Events Center courtyard, 30260 Saratoga, off of Keeneland and Ralph Fair Road in Fair Oaks Ranch.

SATURDAY, OCT. 6

A Mexican supper and fiesta is hosted by Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Comfort at the Comfort Park pavilion on Highway 27. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. at the church. A Mexican supper will be served from 5:30 to 8 p.m. A large plate is $7. A small plate is $5.

Hill Country Indian Artifact and Collectible Show, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kendall County Fairgrounds, features a wide variety of some of the finest Native American artifacts from Texas and United States, including arrowheads, pottery, trade beads, Indian jewelry, related books, display cases, coins, knives and collectibles.

The seventh annual Octoberfest Wurstbraten, presented by the Messiah Lutheran Church, features the Boerne Village Band, San Antonio Thunder Cloggers, arts and crafts, Messiah Sowers quilts, games, silent auction, quilt raffle, and authentic German cooking. The Leon Springs Business Association holds its October mixer 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Tiago’s Cabo Grille in the Rim. There is no cover charge for the event, which will include free appetizers. It's Murder in the Wings, a mystery/comedy by Pat Cook, is performed by the Teen Troupe at Boerne Community Theatre at 7:30 p.m. today, at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. FRIDAY, OCT. 12

The Key To The Hills Rod Run is held today and Saturday on downtown Boerne’s Main Plaza, where aficionados will show off vintage cars at their best. Over 500 pre 49 street rods come from all over the country for this show.

SATURDAY, OCT. 13

Friends of the Boerne Public Library host a sale of books, audio books, movies, magazines and music 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library annex, 208 N. Main, Boerne.

The 2007 Walk to Cure Diabetes starts at 8 a.m. at The Shops at La Cantera. Registration for the 1.5 mile walk begins at 7 a.m.

Boerne Market Days moves to the Kendall County Courthouse this weekend to accommodate the Key to the Hills Rod Run on Boerne’s Main Plaza. The market still will feature scores of vendors from all over Texas. For more information, call (830) 249-5530 or (210) 844-8193.

On Second Saturdays in Boerne numerous art galleries host joint openings from 5 to 8 p.m. Enjoy a glass of wine and the latest offerings on the Boerne art scene.
