Speeder crashes into wall

Sept. 27, 12:45 a.m.,15000 block of Texas 16 North
An officer observed a motorist traveling 40 miles over the posted speed limit. As the officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle, the vehicle left the roadway, crashing into a brick wall. Driver signed a refusal of medical treatment, refused field sobriety test and was booked.

Baby tags along in mall theft

Sept. 25, 12 a.m., 6300 block of NW Loop 410.
Four suspects have been seen at Ingram Mall nightly stealing clothes from department stores. The suspects were seen at Agaci, placing 70 shirts valued at $1,345 into their backpacks. The four fled the location on foot, and one suspect was seen carrying a baby. The suspects were seen at the store the following day and were advised to leave.

Domestic disturbance

Sept. 25, 7 p.m., 6600 block of Spring Hurst.
A caller said a suspect was very intoxicated and trying to leave the house in his vehicle, so she took his keys. She said the man kept trying to take the keys, grabbed her face, shoved her left cheek with his right hand, then took the keys and drove off in his red 1985 Chevrolet C15. There were no signs of injury to the female and she was advised to call the police if the man returned.

Identity theft

Sept. 25, 5 p.m., 9400 block of Valley Bend.
A man said he contacted Time Warner Cable for services, only to learn there were already services containing his name at another address. The man had lost his wallet three weeks ago, and it contained his driver’s license, Social Security card and bank card. The man verified his Social Security number and date of birth with the Time Warner representative. The responding officer advised the man of the repercussions this could have on his credit and to contact all credit bureaus in case other accounts have been opened without his consent. The officer also advised him to have his credit information flagged of the incident.

Items stolen from disabled vet’s vehicle

Sept. 26,between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m., 11400 block of Remsen Street
A disable veteran said that the following items were stolen from his 2003 green Ford F-150: $500 in various CDs; and a $15 cell phone charger. The man also said his $1,000 power lock doors were damaged and his $450 security system was disabled, adding that he does not drive or leave the home much and did not know which day his vehicle was burglarized.

Stolen property

Sept. 28 at 6 p.m., 8800 block of Shady Valley
A woman said the following items were taken from the trunk of her white 1998 Toyota Avalon while she was walking at a park: two Fossil wallets, valued at $80 and $50; a $50 Nokia cell phone and $4 in cash.
