Varsity cheerleaders from TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas helped cheer on participants in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk for the Cure, held Oct. 14 at The Shops at La Cantera. Boerne-area members of the squad include Kacey Joy, Sara Lopez and Meg Perez of Boerne and Lara Champion and Alex Grizzle of Fair Oaks Ranch. Also cheering the walkers were: Meredith Breslin, Marina Lewis, Erica Moreno, Marybeth Murphy, Chinyere Okoro, Emily Parke, Emily Richardson, Cindy Roman, Paulina Roman and Ashley Thaxton. Panther cheerleaders were placed along the 1.5-mile route to provide encouragement for the walkers and later were featured performing a routine at the event center tent.
