Students in the second- and third-grade bilingual class of Ana Weissling have been following the two-month research SIMBA Antarctic expedition. Students like Ashley Oceguera, Rosemary Alvarez, Josue Galvan and Karina Paredes (above) used the information learned to create models of Palmer Station, the ice breaker Nathaniel B. Palmer, Peter I Island, penguins, icebergs, and equipment the researchers used during their expedition. In concluding their studies, students like Troy Barraza and Ashley Oceguera (top) role played the positions of reporters holding interviews to present the information that they learned through the course of their research.
