I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to the Community Fine Arts Network organization for the inspirational and uplifting Veterans Day celebration held at Steele High School Nov. 11.

It is appropriate that the number one city in the state of Texas honor those veterans who have given so much to their country.

The C-FAN band and The Voices of Cibolo Creek lent their unique styles to old and new military favorites. As military member rose when their branch’s song was played, there was an elderly woman with a walker who proudly rose and stood at attention during the playing of her song. It was obvious that “duty, honor and country” were more than just a phrase to her.

Again, thank you, C-FAN, for honoring all those who served and are serving. May your organization continue to grow and prosper. Thanks for being an integral part of the number one city in the state of Texas.
