''Curious George and Bo-Peep'' -- The Man in the Yellow Hat (parent Daryl Rosinbaum) helps Bo Peep (first grader Kensi Parker) as she leaves the stage. In the background are Curious George (librarian Cindy Fowler) and one of the authors of Curious George, Mrs. Ray (Jessica Gombert, headmaster of grammar school). Courtesy photos Grammar school students (Kindergarten through fifth) of all ages gathered around San Antonio author Jenny Braulick, after she read and discussed her new book, “Kristy and the Secret of Yesterday Farm,” a charming story celebrating America’s rural heritage. Braulick’s visit to the Geneva School campus was one of the highlights of National Book Week. Other events that marked the celebration this week included several book readings at Barnes and Noble Book Store at DeZavala and Interstate 10, a door-decorating contest among the grades focusing on special books, and the grand finale, the great Book Parade with students and teachers dressed as their favorite book character. Reading has great emphasis at Geneva; students are encouraged to read for pleasure and for learning throughout the summer and school year.
