The Texas Association of Business (TAB) recently honored State Rep. Nathan Macias as a “Champion for Free Enterprise” in its biennial For the Record publication, which scores the performance of Texas lawmakers based on key business votes during the 2007 legislative session.

Of the 150 House members, Representative Macias and 22 others scored 90 or higher, and he was one of only nine Representatives to receive a perfect score of 100.

“I have always held that our economy runs best when following the free enterprise model,” said Macias. “I am proud of my record this past session in favor of keeping our economy vibrant and strong and I will continue working hard to ensure we build on the positive business climate in the Texas Hill Country and across the state.”
