Weihnachts Fest Parade Weekend is a celebration of German Heritage Christmas in downtown Boerne. The San Antonio Brass plays at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 208 W. Bandera in Boerne. This holiday season the San Antonio Brass features John Harbison's Christmas Vespers for brass quintet and narrator. The first half of the program will feature classic holiday favorites from the San Antonio Brass Christmas Album. Admission is by donation ($10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors is suggested).

SUNDAY, DEC. 2

“Celebrate A Life,” a 4 p.m. concert by the San Antonio Choral Society, features the 90-voice choir with brass accompaniment in performance of Daniel Pinkham’s Christmas Cantata, is conducted at the First United Methodist Church of Boerne, 205 James St. Admission is $15 for the general public, $12 for seniors and Texas Public Radio cardholders and free to students.

A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens and adapted by Romulus Linney, opens its series of performances at 7:30 p.m. at the Boerne Community Theatre, 907 E. Blanco. Hill Country Newcomers Club will hold its monthly meeting at 10 a.m. at the Cibolo Nature Center in Boerne. A featured guest will be doing a "makeover." The club is collecting non-perishable foods for distribution during the holidays.
