Animal cruelty

Nov. 6, 4 p.m. 7500 block of Autumn Park
Complainant says he and the suspect used to be good friends until they had a disagreement. The man then found a dead cat with a slit through it in front of his house. A mutual friend told the homeowner that he saw the suspect leave the cat in front of the house. A couple of days earlier, the complainant saw a kitten with a slit throat in front of his house. He has thought nothing of it until the witness said the suspect had admitted to that one, too. The case will go to Animal Control.

Flash fight

Nov. 4, 6 p.m. 9300 block of Wickersham
Complainant said he was driving down Prue Road when he saw a suspect flashing a camera at passing motorists. He yelled at the photographer to “knock it off.” Then, he said, the suspect parked his car and ran up to his car and started punching, so the complainant got out of his car and they started to fight. The suspect then got into his white Ford Ranger and drove off. The complainant took down the license number, but it was copied down wrong. No further action was taken.

Craigslist trouble

Nov. 16, 3 p.m. 9800 block of Ardash Lane
An Ontario, Canada, resident reported that he had a professional turntable advertised on Craigslist.com. An agreement between the San Antonio buyer and seller stipulated for the former to send the latter pre-paid shipping labels and to pay for the item through PayPal. The money was never sent. During shipment, a request from what appeared to be from PayPal asked the FedEx tracking numbers of the item. While the deal was made with one suspect, it was to be sent to another. After contacting FedEx, the Canadian said the box arrived at the neighbor of the intended recipient’s house.

Aggravated assault

Nov. 9, 9 p.m. 7600 block of Culebra Road
Complainant says she was leaving work and walking through a parking lot when a suspect drove a red Nissan towards her at a fast speed. The driver stopped in front of her, jumped out and punched her in the right arm. He told her he was going to kill her and went back to his vehicle to retrieve a pistol. He pressed the gun into her chest and said again that he was going to kill her.

The woman jumped in a coworker’s car and the coworker drove her home. The woman called the police. Because of a lack of information, a warrant could not be issued. The woman could not provide the correct date of birth for the suspect, and refused assistance and shelter from the family violence volunteer. There were no visible injuries and she refused medical treatment. A patrol was sent to the woman’s residence.
