The team placed first in state competition at Huntsville in April, which entitled them to advance to nationals in Indianapolis, Ind.

At the national competition the, team had to take a test of questions, evaluate a market analysis, prospect and sell their product, a John Deere F687 Z-track mower, to a judge.

All the events were timed, after which the scores were calculated and given a rank. They competed against 40 teams and placed third.
