SVHS students earn high honors in forensic league competition PDF Print E-mail

Two Smithson Valley High School students placed first in their events in oral interpretation and debate recently at the Texas Forensic Association’s Central Texas Novice National Forensic League Tournament.

Elizabeth Montemayor and Ray Villarreal won first place in the Prose Outstanding Performer category, while Villarreal also won first place in the Humorous Outstanding Performer category.

Other SVHS students who also were competing for the first time in the tournament and who finished among the top six competitors in their events were Elizabeth Montemayor, second place original oratory; Ryan Rammel, Emily Estes and Kaithlyn Craft, fourth place prose; Rebecca Wiesen, fourth place humorous and prose; Jadon Gautreau, Abigail Kneupper, Ana Reyes, Krystal Young and Robert Lagoudis, fifth place prose; and Dalton Meadows, sixth place prose.
