Baby

We have so many loving cats and dogs that would be forever grateful to have a family to call their own. Each one has a unique personality, including Baby, who has been living with us for far too long.

“I am still trying to figure out what happened (she says), how I came to live at the Bulverde Area Humane Society.

“I am not saying that I don’t like it here, I do. All my friends are here and the people who take care of me are really nice, but it is tough living in a kennel and not being able to be to run and play when I want to or lie down on the cool floor and watch television with a family or curl up on a fuzzy doggy bed and take a nap on a sunny afternoon.

I know I am a good dog, old enough not to have tiresome puppy traits, like teething. I know sit and stay and I walk pretty well on a leash. I am medium sized and because I am not a puppy, I can confidently say I am full grown. I have a short, sleek coat that is dark tan. My dark amber eyes are my best feature though; soulful and warm.

I am spayed and in good health – so I would make a good walking or running buddy. I do like to climb though. If there is a chain link or basket weave fence, I can climb right out. It isn’t that I want to get away; I just think climbing is fun. Anyway, I would make a good friend to hang out with, I love the water and I love to play outside.

I would prefer to be an only child too. I have lived here at the Bulverde Area Humane Society more than a year now and as much as I love everyone here, I really would like to have a family all to myself. If you think I would be a good friend for you, please come out and visit me, I will make you fall in love with me.”
