Dressed for success in a Harley-Davidson biker outfit, complete with goggles and “wristbands,” Schnitzel, a 4-year-old dachshund-Chihuahua mix, is geared up for the Howliday Pet Contest held on Boerne’s Main Plaza. Owner Judy Abrams of Bandera says Schnitzel has a bigger wardrobe than most children.
Despite appearances, he ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog. “Elvis,” (below left) owned by Joyce Hayes of Dripping Springs, was in Boerne Saturday for the Howliday Pet Contest. However, “he” is really a her named Misery. So don’t be cruel. Allison Loggins’ pet Angel (right) was putting on the dog as Santa Claus on Saturday while the mixed breed waited her turn in the pet contest, content in the arms of Allison’s dad, Brian, of Boerne.
