78251 Police respond to assault in progress
Nov. 20, 7 p.m. 9100 block of Grissom Road Officer was dispatched to Culebra Road and Grissom Road to an assault in progress. A complainant and two witnesses were on the side of the intersection. The complainant was crying hysterically and not able to keep her composure. The first witness stated he witnessed the woman and a man stopped at the light, heading eastbound and scuffling inside of the vehicle. The second witness said she saw the man punch complainant several times in the face. The complainant said the suspect stopped the car and fled the location. The witnesses assisted the woman prior to the officer’s arrival. The officer quickly radioed in information about the suspect, and the suspect was apprehended a few blocks away. The woman stated they were fighting over the speed of the suspect’s driving, and that she took the key out of the ignition of his car. In addition to being punched while in a headlock, the woman had road burns on the tips of her shoes from being dragged. 78250 Fugitive captured
Nov. 29, 10 a.m. 6300 block of Village Arbor A tip was given via “Crime Stoppers” regarding a missing fugitive. After several police attempts to contact the occupants inside the given home, the husband of the homeowner opened the door and admitted to harboring the man, and granted the police entry. The fugitive was apprehended without incident. He was wanted for burglary habitation by force. 78023 Man chased by dogs Dec. 1, 11:26 a.m. 9500 of Circle S Drive Officer was dispatched for an animal bite, and found a bloodied pedestrian. The man stated he was not bitten, but had been chased by dogs. Animal control is investigating. 78254 Car damage Nov. 11, 8 p.m. 8500 block of Lavenham Man stated his son had borrowed his vehicle and parked it overnight. An unknown suspect threw a large planter at the vehicle, damaging the windshield and causing other damage. 78249 Copper theft Nov. 16, 7 a.m. 6500 block of Spring Time Complainant said he is building additional units in the complex, and that he was notified by his electrician that copper wire had been stolen from several units. There were no suspects at the time, and the complainant said that he would have to pull and replace the wires from each unit. 78238 Machete possession Nov. 24, 4 p.m. 6300 block of N.W. Loop 410 Officer arrived at the reported location to find a man with a machete hanging out of his pocket. After a struggle, the police were able to take it. The man was planning on getting the machete sharpened, but it wasn’t in any kind of protective covering. He was arrested for carrying a prohibited knife.
