Sarah Stevick By Sarah Stevick Bulverde Mayor On Nov. 5, 1997 residents of three communities voted to incorporate forming the cities of Bulverde South, Bulverde North and Bulverde East. The intitial three cities have formed the basis of what the City of Bulverde is today. I’d like to thank all those who worked so hard to for incorporation and wish everyone Happy Anniversary. Bulverde is still a young city, but along the way we have had help to become established and I’d like to thank those organizations, especially Comal County, for helping this city along the way. As this city advances and grows, we will still need help and support but in a different manner then in the past. Please note that our fireworks ordinance states, “No person shall demonstrate, cast, throw or fire any fireworks within the city limits during a burn ban.” The weather and ground conditions over the next few weeks will determine if this ban will be lifted. I would like to ask for residents’ input on the following questions: 1. Should the city give up ETJ subdivision authority to the county and why? 2. What are your thoughts about residential and commercial development in the city limits and ETJ? 3. What are your top three concerns that you would like the City Council and staff to address over the next six months? Please e-mail your replies to
