All ornaments, lights, stands, nails, etc., must be removed before placing the tree at the curb. These items will damage the wood-chipping machine. Trees that have not been stripped of these items will not be picked up.

Trees will be taken to the Kendall County brush-chipping yard on Highway 46 East next to the fairgrounds. Residents are invited to pick up some of the fragrant mulch. The county requests a $5 donation per pickup load.

After the curbside tree collection week, city residents can still take their trees/brush directly to the Kendall County brush site. Public brush disposal and mulch pick up is available Thursday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The attendant on duty will load the mulch if equipment is available; however, the attendant will not be responsible for damage to vehicles or trailers while loading.

The brush site is not available for commercial use.
