OLMOS PARK

Burglary of vehicle

Nov. 23, 5:43 p.m., 200 block of East Olmos: A car owner reported the locking mechanism on the driver’s-side door of her car had been forced open and her car stereo had been stolen.

Credit card abuse

Nov. 24, 5:38 p.m., 300 block of Park Hill Drive: A woman called police when she saw large unauthorized purchases had been made on her card. She discovered it was made on an extra card in her husband’s name which was kept in an unused wallet kept in a drawer. The husband confirmed he had not used the card. The woman said a painter had been in the house in October, and the charges started appearing after the painters started working in the house. The fraud was reported to the credit card company and the account was closed out. The credit card company suggested she contact the police to make a report.

Public intoxication

Nov. 24, 4:03 p.m., 5100 block of McCullough: An officer met up with a San Antonio Police Department officer who had called in that there was a woman at a gas station who appeared to be intoxicated, and that he had already called the woman’s husband. The SAPD officer said he had been alerted to the woman by an employee and when he approached the woman in her car, she had the engine in neutral and was revving the engine, as if to try and get away. The OPPD office noticed there was damage to the car, but couldn’t tell if it was recent. After checking the woman’s name in their computer, she was found clear of any warrants, but she was given a citation for public intoxication. She was released to her husband.

Burglary of business

Nov. 25, 5:26 p.m., 4200 block of McCullough: An officer was flagged down by a person who said the back door of the business next door to his had been kicked in. After calling for backup, the officer conducted a security search of the premises, and cleared the building. The officers noted several areas had been vandalized and a cash register had been pried open and the cash was missing.

Burglary of vehicle

Nov. 27, 10:27 a.m., 200 block of Thelma: A man reported that his car had been burglarized at his residence sometime during the previous night and a laptop computer and car stereo were missing. The owner also said the car was unlocked. A handgun also in the car had not been taken. The driver was advised to call in the serial numbers of the missing items to the police department.
