Texas Cooperative Extension

will be conducting its spring Master Gardener class for adults interested in gardening and learning about horticulture, in which they return their knowledge and time back into providing educational outreach to the community. The Men’s Final Four is seeking nearly 2,000 volunteers to fill more then 3,500 shifts. Volunteer responsibilities include a wide range of tasks, from greeting incoming fans at the airport to helping with NCAA Hoop City and transporting VIPs.

Volunteers can choose from shifts that begin March 29 and run through April 8. A minimum of two shifts are required as well as attendance at one orientation session either March 25 or 26. All volunteers will receive an official volunteer uniform and invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party on May 22. This class is open to all green-industry professionals who want to increase their knowledge in all aspects of the green industry: lawn care and maintenance; landscape management; and retail and wholesale nursery sales.
