By Edmond Ortiz Staff Writer Twenty-three Metrocom high school students have earned all-district honors in volleyball and cross-country. In volleyball, Wagner senior Amber Roberson was named to the Super Team and District 26-5A first team. Wagner senior Sajoyia Griffin, Judson senior Felicia Payton and Roosevelt junior Miara Cave made the second team. Additional all-district honorees are: • District 26-4A first team: Clemens senior Dimery Michaels and Steele sophomore McKenzie Adams, who also made the All-Class 4A team. • 26-4A second team: Steele seniors Sondra Cui and Lynn Lambert. • District 26-3A first team both from Marion: senior Kalynn White and sophomore Ashley Jacobsen. • 26-3A second team both from Marion: senior Hailey Bolner and junior Kasey Haecker. • District 29-2A second team: Randolph senior Samantha Cordova. Additionally, four players from Universal City First Baptist Academy earned local TAPPS Class A honors. Junior Rachel Rightnour and senior Holli Myers made the first team while junior Sharon Wilke and sophomore Toni Stewart made the second team. In boys’ cross country selections, the All-Class teams included Judson senior Albert Cardenas (5A), Clemens sophomore Mark Kazmierczak and Steele senior Kyle Rattell (both 4A) and Randolph junior Chris Crabbe (2A-A). Among girls, Steele junior Tarah Arrington made the 4A team while Randolph junior Tamoya Morrison made the 2A-A team.
