ALAMO HEIGHTS Theft Nov. 23, 7:38 p.m., 100 block of Arcadia: An apartment dweller reported her bicycle had been stolen from the back patio of her apartment. Invasion of habitation Nov. 24, 4:25 a.m., 100 block of Argyle: A couple reported that an unknown male had crawled into bed with them. They first thought it was a family member, but then smelled alcohol and drugs on the person. The couple got the man out of the bed, while the wife called the police and the husband got the man into the kitchen where he passed out. When the police arrived, they found the man had entered through a sliding glass door. The man refused to answer any questions, was arrested, processed at the Alamo Heights Police Department and then transported to the City of San Antonio Magistrate’s office for booking. Burglary of habitation Nov. 26, 2:44 p.m., 200 block of Lamont: Officers responded to a burglary alarm and found the back door of the address open, and pry marks on the door. Three laptop computers were missing. Beer theft leads to high-speed chase Nov. 26, 9:05 p.m., 500 block of Austin Highway: After attempting to stop a vehicle after it had been called in for suspicion on a beer theft at a convenience store, the vehicle stopped, then took off at high speed up Broadway, and eventually onto Fort Sam Houston, where military police also joined the chase. The vehicle crashed into concrete security barriers on the Army post, and the driver was arrested. The driver was charged with driving while intoxicated, theft under $50, and evading arrest and was transported to the City of San Antonio Magistrate’s office for booking. Burglary of vehicle Nov. 27, 4 p.m., 700 block of College Boulevard: A car owner reported that the window of his truck had been broken out and a power washer had been stolen. Theft Nov. 28, 10:22 a.m., 100 block of Burr Road: An officer responded in reference to the theft of a trailer. Burglary Nov. 30, 5:53 p.m., 200 block of Wildrose: Officers responded to a homeowner who said her home had been broken into by someone prying open the back door. Numerous computer and electronic items, jewelry and other items were missing, including a handgun and rifle. Losses totaled more than $6,800. The guns and computers were entered into the National Crime Information Center database, and officers took photos of the crime scenes. Criminal mischief Dec. 1, 8:12 a.m., 800 block of Estes Avenue: A homeowner reported that someone had let the air of three tires on their car and had broken off the rear windshield wiper. Theft Dec. 1, 9:46 a.m., 200 block of Arcadia: A homeowner reported that a stroller had been stolen from the front-door area of her house.
